The HoD Computer Science, NFC IETF, along with a team of faculty members and students visited the CS Department, CIIT on Wednesday 23rd April 2014. They were welcomed by HoD CS, Dr. Manzoor Illahy Tammimy and Associate HoD Dr. Majid Iqbal.
The guests from Faislabad were briefed about the history of the Institute and the Computer Science Department in particular. The FYP committee explained the process of supervising and monitoring the final year projects being carried in our department. In addition, some of the award winning projects was also showcased in the presentation.
The DEAN FIST also graced the occasion and shared his words of wisdom with the visiting students. The HoD NFC IETF, was very appreciative of the policies and guidelines being set by the CS department to monitor senior student’s capstone projects and he said that he was determined to incorporate similar changes in his department as well. He also expressed his intentions of collaborating with Dr. Manzoor to establish a similar Software Engineering program in his department.
After the formal presentation the guests from Faisalabad were given a tour of the campus and sat down for some informal discussions.
