About Us
With a vision to produce professional engineering graduates, the Department of Electrical Engineering was established in 2007. The EE department aims to achieve the academic and research excellence in the subject area through its well-designed curriculum, strong focus on research and innovation, objective based learning and strong industrial liaison. Moreover the department believes and strives to provide the excellent facilities, best teaching methods and learning environment to the students in order to achieve professional and academic excellence.
Since its inception in 2007, the Department of Electrical Engineering has successfully launched multiple degree programs, including BS (Electrical Engineering), MS (Electrical Engineering) and BS (Computer Engineering) in a short span of time. The curriculum of these programs encompasses the vast background of electrical and computer engineering. The EE department offers a wide range of elementary as well as advanced courses pertaining to the broad range of specializations including Electrical Power, Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer and Control Systems. In order to provide students with the research and internship opportunities, CUI has strong collaboration with Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Kamra under a Memorandum of Understanding.
All engineering programs offered by the department are recognized by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) because of the excellent educational standards of CUI and commitment of the faculty.
The major objectives of department are summarized as:
- To develop graduates with strong academic foundation in multiple areas of specialization.
- To enhance the analytical and problem solving skills of graduates and induce critical thinking.
- To inculcate a strong sense of ethics and professionalism in its graduates to make significant and positive contribution to the industry and society at large.
