Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication and Networking

Mission Statement

To impart an understanding of Telecommunication and Networking fundamentals to the undergraduate level students in order to facilitate them to grasp the basic knowledge of this field so that they can specialize in growing areas of Telecommunication and Networking. Motive is also to produce quality professionals with abilities to manage and operate telecommunication systems.

Program Objectives

The graduate of this program will be equipped with the following skills to demonstrate an understanding of key technologies applicable within the main areas of Telecommunications and Networking:

  • Basic knowledge of Telecommunications Public and private Network infrastructure, both land based and cellular in terms of architecture, operations, protocols and traffic planning through core Telecommunication and Networking courses.
  • Basic knowledge of Telecommunications and Networking standards, standard setting bodies and regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of support techniques, technologies and systems.
  • Abilities to systematically evaluate situations cope with change and provide optimal solutions for particular applications.
  • Expertise in Telecommunication and Network Business and market operations.
  • Ability to work effectively in real world Telecommunications and Networks setting, demonstrating team work and leader ship skills.
  • To enhance communication skills through different means of effective and modern presentation tools.
  • Work effectively as team member.
  • Encourage self-improvement and professional growth among students.

Introduce basic and fundamental concepts of Telecommunication and Networking through core Telecommunication and Networking courses like Operating system, Databases, Networking fundamentals, data structures, computer organization and architecture, Network programming, circuits and electronics, algorithms etc.

Provide students an opportunity to learn basic knowledge of support techniques, technologies and systems along with new tools and techniques for improving programming skills.

Abilities to systematically evaluate situations cope with change and provide optimal solutions for particular applications.

Basic knowledge of Telecommunications and Networking standards, standard setting bodies and regulations.

Encourage self-improvement and professional growth among students.

Develop the spirit of team amongst the students in different projects.

Program Outcomes

It helps students to make strong base of theoretical concepts which is eventually helpful in better understanding of computer operations and functionality.
