We are pleased to inform that the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization is holding a Training Workshop titled ‘Mentoring and Coaching for the Identification and Preparation of Bankable Climate Change Adaptation & Mitigation Projects’, to be held from 13th – 15th November 2022, in Cairo, Egypt. The Workshop is being jointly organized by COMSATS, Egyptian National Commission for UNESCO - ALECSO – ICSESCO, Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE), Regional Training Center for Water Resources and Irrigation (RCTWS) and International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CHIEAM). The Workshop will be held at Regional Training Center for Water Resources and Irrigation (RCTWS).
The Workshop aims to strengthen the capacity of national and regional implementing entities to receive and manage climate financing to pledge impacts of climate change in sectors ranging from agriculture and food security to coastal zones and urban areas. The objective of this Workshop is to leverage the capacity of stakeholders and government representatives to develop bankable climate change adaptation projects and to adapt and build community resilience; raise awareness on mechanisms and conditions of various relevant donors providing funds for climate change projects; and improve knowledge on identification, preparation and submission of project proposals and promote exchange of experience and success stories.
The relevant scientists/researchers of esteemed Centres of Excellence of COMSATS are cordially invited to attend the Workshop, online.
