BankIslami Pakistan and Center of Islamic Finance (CIF) COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) organized a one Day Awareness Seminar on Fundamentals and Practices of Islamic Banking that was hosted by the COMSATS University Islamabad Attock Campus. The seminar was attended by the general public and students of Islamic banking & finance at CUI Attock Campus. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Farman Ali Khan, Associate Professor, CUI Attock Campus. Regional sales manager of bankIslami Mr. Khawaja Tariq Introduced the audience about the core functions of Islamic banking and awareness of the Islamic banking in Pakistan. Dr. Usman Khurshed gave Introduction & Objectives of CIF. The keynote speaker Mufti Shaikh Noman Senior Shariah Scholar, BankIslami Pakistan Limited had a very informative talk on fundamentals and Practices of Islamic Banking, which included the topic about awareness of Islamic banking and products in Pakistan, purchase of these products and their contribution to the national growth. Audience asked multiple questions at the end. Dr. Noman Khan, Assistant Professor, CUI Attock Campus and Dr. Saddam Hussain, Associate professor, CUI Attock Campus distributed the souvenirs. Students and guests also had a networking lunch.
