CCRD has started a series of awareness raising activities on water conservation as an essential part of the D-8 funded project titled “Feasibility Study of Provision of Safe Drinking Water through Water Conservation” and first event was organised at Iqra Pilot School & Collage (IPSC) I-8/3 Islamabad on October 7, 2021. During the first event, more than hundred students along with their teachers and Principal, Mr. Iqbal Ahmad Khan, participated. Activity was started with recitation of Holy Quran and opening remarks were given by Dr. Toqeer Ahmad, Assistant Professor, CCRD. During his remarks, importance of water conservation was highlighted. He appreciated the student who actively participated in the poster competition held on the same day. A presentation was given by Ms. Saima Naz, Research Associate of the D-8 Project, to the participant regarding importance of water conservation. During the presentation short questions were asked to the students which they respond actively. A short walk with the slogans of water saving was performed. Souvenirs were distributed among the winners of the poster competitions, actively participating students and teachers. Closing remarks were given by the Principal of the Iqra Pilot School & College (IPSC) I-8/3 Islamabad.
