1. Note Verbale from the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS) regarding funding opportunity announced by its international partners, the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) and the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP). These calls provide financial and logistical support for organizing scientific conferences, meetings, and training workshops under the 2026 Scientific Activities Calendar. Details can be seen in the attachment.
2. COMSATS’ training proposal for Hands-on training workshop on "Functional Metagenomics for Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR): Advancing Surveillance and Predictive Modelling" to be submitted under ICGEB Meetings and Courses 2026.
To enhance the impact and scientific strength of these proposals, COMSATS Secretariat seeks expert feedback and recommendations from its esteemed Centres of Excellence by March 13, 2025 (Wednesday). Therefore, requested CUI, to collaborate on joint proposal and nominate potential resource persons/trainers.
