| About | I’m Yasir Zulfiqar, an experienced telecommunications professional specializing in Fiber and DRS Operations. As the Manager of Fiber/DRS Operations at PTCL, my focus is on enhancing network efficiency, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity, and elevating customer experience. With in-depth expertise in diagnosing and rectifying GPON issues, my primary goal is to reduce downtime and optimize network performance.
Over the course of my career, I’ve spearheaded numerous large-scale initiatives, including the deployment of FTTH networks and the expansion of our access infrastructure, all while ensuring timely and budget-conscious project completion. I thrive in working closely with multidisciplinary teams, civic bodies, and OFC operators to implement proactive measures that mitigate disruptions, particularly in evolving development areas. My skill set also encompasses Wireless Operations, where I’ve been responsible for monitoring and maintaining BTS, BSCs, and DRS networks, ensuring high operational reliability.
With an academic foundation in Electrical Engineering from COMSATS University Islamabad, where I earned a Silver Medal, I’ve continuously refined my expertise in project management. I hold certifications in PMP, Agile Leadership, and Lean Six Sigma, equipping me to lead dynamic teams, manage complex projects, and drive tangible improvements in network operations.
