This project addresses the concept of the element of hope, that is currently lacking in this society, and seeks to address methods through which we could re-instill this feeling in our youth. In today’s society, where midst all the overload of negative news, we are focused on maintaining our children’s ethical values, we tend to overlook the mental state of our children, who are inclining more towards despair. Through this project, I hope to create a medium which could inspire and motivate our new generation, to teach them not to give up and not let go of hope. Since the time of partition, the people of Pakistan have had to face multiple hardships. In these times of trial and despair, our poets have been one of the greatest sources of motivation, their verses inspiring the people not to give up and seek strength within themselves. Over time, their beautiful verses are no longer familiar to the younger generation. In this project, I seek to re-inspire the hope by reintroducing their verses in the form of a board game and created a series of illustrated cards with colorful hues, which shall not only help children recognize the elements that strives towards hope, but also reintroduce them to the gems of our Urdu literature.
