I extend my congratulations to the graduating batch of Design students who have produced such quality work. The range is extensive in the selection of thesis topics, which presents an overall background of the Department of Art and Design (DoAD) teaching philosophy. DoAD is doing the best in providing the quality art teaching and received thoughtful thesis ideas by students. With this publication and the records, a clear direction in terms of design thinking emerged which has led to motivating the students to focus upon design and presentation skills.

There are social, political, historical and societal ideas presented in this thesis which aim for educating the masses on socio and political issues and also on preserving our cultural heritage. Some of the ideas aim at celebrating our successes in the past and also giving credit to the unsung heroes of Pakistan. A few ideas speak about improving infrastructure of the country whereas some shed light on interpretation of dreams as well as educating masses with types of personality disorders. The interesting part of thesis is the projection of culture as Lost Treasures of Swat is an idea put forth which speaks about perseverance of our cultural heritage of Swat and Pakistan Popular Music speaks about effects of music on one’s personality. Some of the work emphasized on needs to study the negative impacts of Social media on youth and to shed light on Dissociative Identity Disorder. Initiative to educate our young girls with basic life skills.

While in connection to visualization the idea of interpreting the dreams through symbolism and to improve the system of Railways in the country which is considered an easy and affordable way of travelling.

I would like to congratulate the thesis students for such a marvelous job and the thesis team at the Department of Art and Design for motivating the students in this testing times to create excellent work.
