Music is a dominant part of the Pakistani culture and is a part of the life of every individual residing within Pakistan. Constant exposure to music throughout one’s life influences the identity development process and leaves immense psychological changes in a person.
This project is an effort to study the layered popular music of Pakistan and the message being propagated through it from the day dot to the current time, and how it has changed the mindset and ideologies of the nation.
