A gap has always been seen between Art and Science. This project revolves around the idea of merging the two together to create something that’s lightweight and visually appealing. This thesis is about Visualizing viral structures through art. Studying patterns and finding a way to simplify viral structure and make it simple and pleasing to the eye. Usually, we take this design form for granted and as almost mindless. The sole purpose of this thesis is to experiment with patterns and make patterns with care and consideration that have a logic and concept behind it. To make sure there’s a story behind every pattern and that each pattern has a reason behind it. Each pattern will have a story to tell but will also be playful, explorative and abstract.
This thesis is not made for intensive educational purposes. Instead, I deliberately chose this medium because I hoped it can pique the interest of those who want to know more, and give them a mini gateway to the information, that hopefully can make them want to research things up on their own.
