GENTLEMAN – The shackled street performer

Pakistan, the land of the pure; known for its hospitable people and cultural diversity, like a few other countries, has a significant culture of using animals in the pursuit of entertainment, whether its dog-fighting, cock-fighting, bear baiting, or monkeys performing in streets. Humans watch in amazement, as animals are forced and ultimately trained to perform in streets. These animals are stripped of their freedom and natural environment for our entertainment.

The objective of this project is to allow individuals to understand the consequences of barbarism towards animals and investigate, what mentality creates an environment of entertainment around a sight of a dancing animal

The project aims to give a clearer image of the extent of animal abuse in the society, so that an understanding can be developed when things are looked at from the perspective of the species largely at stake— Animals
