Every individual or their loved ones go through a medical emergency at some point in their lives. To have the knowledge and confidence of how to handle an emergency saves the injured from further complications. Every individual is responsible for equipping themselves with safety and first aid education.

In Pakistan, like many other developing and under-developed countries, there isn’t one stable infrastructure that acts as an emergency responder which functions throughout the country, neither is there one sustainable training that teaches first aid.

The aim of this thesis is to make safety education ubiquitous and teachable to all without having to worry about their academic progression with a view to foster a culture of security, a culture of safety in even the most illiterate communities so that this learning can transcend all economic classes. Through Chiragh, we hope to create training materials that make it easy to imbed safety consciousness in the young and the unlearned through the use of innovative design in teaching aids and materials.
