Rushzen “ Embracing Rawalpindi Bazaar Culture”

Rushzen, a blend of 'rush' (hustle) and 'zen' (simplicity), celebrates the essence of Rawalpindi's vibrant bazaars, capturing the simplicity and culture of its people. Through illustrations highlighting moments, it showcases the unique heritage preserved in these bustling markets. With a focus on history and authenticity, it invites Pakistani youth to embrace their own culture. Explore the beauty and tradition hidden in Rawalpindi's streets through this engaging journey.

In addition to conceptualizing the essence of Rawalpindi's bazaars, my thesis also materializes in solid products. One such creation is a captivating book, featuring my original photography of Rawalpindi bazaars alongside illustrations that hihglights key moments. Divided into three chapters, each dedicated to a big bazaars of Rawalpindi, this book offers a visual narrative enriched with patterns derived from the logo I designed, and detailed history of how each bazaar started and what is it famous for. Furthermore, a unique light box has been crafted to summarize the essence of these environments, creating a warm glow that sets the mood for any space nd individual. Can be use for decoration or to theme an entire restaurant, these illustration filled frames transport observers to the heart of Rawalpindi's street environment in those markets. Additionally, some t-shirts designed with these illustrations offers a fresh alternative to the famous graphic tees, appealing particularly to Gen Z with its depiction of local culture. Complementing these, tote bags featuring similar designs offer a practical way for individuals to incorporate a touch of Rawalpindi's charm into their daily routines. To complete the experience, I've also designed mugs that evoke the spirit of the bazaars, inviting users to start their day with a sip of cultural immersion.
