Biography:

Dr. Noman Khan has completed Ph.D. in Management Sciences with a major in Finance from QURTUBA University of Science and Information Technology, Peshawar Campus in 2016. He did MBA (1.5 years (Equivalent to MS)) major in Finance and BBA-IT (Hon's) from Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences), Peshawar in 2011 and 2008 respectively. Dr. Khan has been serving as a Tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Management Sciences at COMSATS University Islamabad, Attock Campus, Pakistan, since July 1, 2023. Prior to this, he accumulated 6¾ years of experience as an Assistant Professor (TTS) in the same department from September 5, 2016, to June 30, 2023. He also served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration at IQRA National University, Peshawar, from April 13, 2016, to September 5, 2016. During his tenure at CUI, he has contributed to the University and research communities in four important areas: (1) Creation of a research environment through active research on individual and team level, contributing with his data analysis skills, and publishing multiple research papers in a variety of disciplines including Finance—Financial Markets, Corporate Finance & Governance, Sustainable Finance, & Market Efficiency— and Economics—Environmental & Health Economics—. Dr. Khan has published seventeen (17) research papers in peer-reviewed journals. During the same period, he served as a reviewer for several journals, including Web of Science and Scopus Indexed titles from Nature Portfolio, Emerald, and Wiley, such as Humanities and Social Sciences Communications, Studies in Economics and Finance, The Finance Review, and others. (2) He has adeptly taught various courses including Corporate Finance, Investment & Portfolio Management, Corporate Governance, Financial Reporting, Financial Institutions & Markets, Commercial Banking, Cost Accounting, Cost & Management Accounting, Introduction to Statistics, Portfolio Selection Management, Advanced Topics in Financial Management, Advanced Techniques in Data Analysis, Quantitative Techniques, Seminar in Project Management, and Advanced Project Management at the undergraduate and graduate levels. (3) He has supervised Master of Science (MS) Research Scholars (25 in all) at CUI Attock Campus. In addition, he has also served as a co-supervisor of a Ph.D. research scholar at IQRA National University, Peshawar (prior to joining CUI Attock Campus). All of the students successfully finished and defended their research projects, with a number of them publishing research articles based on their theses in prestigious national and international journals. Dr. Khan is a persistent source of encouragement for them, encouraging them to attend various research-focused conferences that were held from time to time. (4) He has been evaluating students, mentoring teachers and students, organizing various events, and performing administrative duties such as Deputy Head of Department (Management Sciences), Departmental Operating Officer (DOO), Focal Person of NBEAC Main Committee, Convener of Uniform Monitoring System, Member of Graduate Studies and Supervisory Committees, and so on.
