Workshop on "Hands-on Data Analytics Using R ”
(18th – 19th February, 2020)
The objective of this workshop is to provide a platform for acquiring the knowledge on R programming, with emphasis on data analysis and visualizations. The R language has become an important tool for computational statistics, data science, and machine learning. In this workshop, the participants will get an overview of RStudio interface, basic R syntax, analyze and visualize data, create reproducible data analysis reports, perform statistical modeling and make data-driven decisions using this powerful language. The end goal is to provide a comprehensive learning course on how to manipulate and analyze small and large sets of data with R.
After completing this course, the participants will be able to:
- Get familiar with R programming language and R Studio environment
- Get familiar with objects classes, data types and data structures in R
- Read, import, review, manipulate and summarize data-sets in R
- Implement statistical procedures within the R environment
- Create and edit high-quality data visualizations with R
- Create reproducible data analysis reports
