COMSATS University Islamabad, Wah Campus, organized an awareness session on Mental and Physical Health on October 26, 2023. The event aimed to raise awareness about mental and physical health and was attended by a large number of students and faculty.

The event began with a recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by paying homage to the national anthem. Dr. Ambreen Shahnaz, representing the Outreach Program Committee, welcomed attendees and emphasized the session's importance. She also outlined the committee's objectives and initiatives, highlighting the significance of community service. Dr. Shahnaz encouraged cooperation between various departments and students to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Keynote speaker Dr Gul-e-Lila Bashir, a professional Clinical Psychologist, discussed leadership, adolescent development, and the importance of mental health. Dr. Hira Khan, Medical Officer, and a medical professional, provided valuable insights on physical health and its importance.

The session successfully raised awareness and empowered the attendees to prioritize their mental and physical well-being. A question/answer session provided participants with a deep understanding of the importance of well-being.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Amir Rajput, Head of the Management Sciences Department, and awarded a souvenir to the guest speaker.
