About Us
COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) is one of the leading public-sector universities of Pakistan that aims to gear up and align its operations to contribute to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), set by the United Nations.
The 17 SDGs include goals, such as ending poverty, promoting gender equality, protecting the environment, and promoting peace and justice. COMSATS University Islamabad is already working towards achievement of these goals through its research, teaching, and community engagement initiatives. Some of the ways CUI could contribute further to the achievement of SDGs include:
1.No Poverty (SDG 1)
By offering scholarships to the poor and lower middle class for acquiring education at CUI and by organizing training programs that equip students with the skills needed to find decent work and contribute to economic growth, CUI University can help reduce poverty and inequality gap various tiers of the society.
