On January 20, 2020, Mr. Ali Tawab Baloch, Head International Office CUI, met with the Director General Industrial Technology Institute (CISIR), Dr. Radhika Samarasekera, in Colombo Sri Lanka. ITI also being a COMSATS Center of Excellence, the meet up was intended to explore cooperation areas including study prospects available at COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) for the researchers, students and faculty of ITI to enhance educational linkages between both the centers of excellence.
Head IO was warmly welcomed by Dr. Radhika and her team. Dr. Radhika assured of complete support from ITI for strengthening the cooperation with CUI. Mr. Tawab explained about the current opportunities and scholarships being offered at CUI for ITI students and faculty. The projects of mutual interests were also deliberated upon during the meeting. It was mutually agreed to initiate joint activities such as student and faculty exchange from both sides and seminars, workshops, lectures etc.
The meeting was concluded with the exchange of appreciation and a commitment to make all efforts for better cooperation in future.
