International Conference on SAFE-Rural-Health

CUI Wah Campus SAFE-Rural Health (RH) team participated in the International Workshop on Remote Health Monitoring for Elderly People, Maternal and Infant organized under the umbrella of SAFE-RH at Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad held on April 22, 2021. In the workshop speakers from different countries enlightened with their valuable talks covering different aspects of the SAFE-RH project. 
Dr. Ehsan Ullah Munir, Associate Professor, Computer Science Department from CUI Wah Campus presented the Maternal and Infant Health monitoring Pilot of SAFE-RH project in the workshop. His talk enlightened the challenges regarding Maternal and Infant health especially in rural areas. He also presented technology based remote sensing solutions and highlighted issues. Dr. Anoosh Aqdus, Medical Officer, CUI Wah shared the details about causes, symptoms and measurable diseases relevant to the Maternal and Infant health in her presentation.  
The Director, CUI Wah Campus, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abid graced the event as Guest of Honour. He emphasized on the significance of Digital Health Monitoring solutions especially in the context of Pakistan. He appreciated the role of consortium to apply innovative and cutting technologies like big data, deep learning, smart sensing, internet of things and seamless communication to address the challenging issues around application and adoption of Remote Health Monitoring in partner countries.
