Biography:

Dr. Farrukh Raza Amin is a distinguished academic and researcher with a profound expertise in Chemical Engineering and Technology. He is currently making significant contributions to the field as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), in Islamabad, Pakistan. Dr. Amin's academic journey is marked by his Ph.D. from the Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), Beijing, China, where he delved into the intricacies of anaerobic digestion (AD) technology. His research primarily focused on the conversion of lignocellulosic biomass into bioenergy, a field that holds promise for sustainable energy solutions.
During his tenure at BUCT, Dr. Amin was instrumental in leading several collaborative research projects. Notably, he contributed to the "National Key Research Plan for Strategic International Cooperation in Scientific and Technological Innovation," sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), China. This project aimed to enhance AD technology by focusing on various aspects such as reaction progress, process control, reactor design, and application design. The ultimate goal was to promote food security and improve the efficiency of pilot-scale plants.
Another significant project led by Dr. Amin was "Biochar Production from Agri-waste by Fixed Bed Pyrolysis: Mechanism and Application in Soil," co-announced by the Natural National Science Foundation (NSF) of China and the Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF). This project sought to convert organic solid waste into biochar, a substance that can be used to improve food security, generate clean energy, and mitigate environmental impacts.
Dr. Amin's scholarly contributions are well-documented in numerous research articles published in reputable SCI journals. His exceptional research skills and profound knowledge in his field have not only advanced academic discourse but have also earned him the Excellent International Research Student award from the Chinese government, recognizing his outstanding contributions to research.
Currently, Dr. Amin is serving as a Special Research Assistant and Project Investigator (PI) in the "Anaerobic Acidification of Organic Wastes and Biochemical Production" project, announced by the Belt and Road Fellowship Initiative at the Tianjin Institute of Industrial Biotechnology (TIB), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Tianjin, China. His ongoing research in this project is expected to make significant strides in the field of biochemical production and organic waste management, further solidifying his reputation as a leading figure in his field. Dr. Amin's dedication to advancing sustainable solutions through scientific research underscores his commitment to addressing some of the most pressing challenges facing our world today.
