Biography:

Dr. Tayyaba Yasmin is working as Tenured Professor at the Department of Biosciences. Her research interests include biochemistry, functional genomics, epigentics, astrobiology and secondary metabolites of medicinal plants for curing diseases. She is also exploring stress responsive genes in important economic crops through biotechnological approaches. She is also interested in applying Bioinformatics in protein structure modeling, alkaloid Promoter interactions, promoter analysis and phylogenetics.
Apart from teaching and research, she has substantial administrative contributions as being associate HoD from February 2013 and HoD of Biosciences Department from July 2016 to October 2017. She has supervised 24 BS, 25 MS and 04 PhD students. Currently, 5 MS/PhD students are doing their research with her.
