Biography:

Dr. Zahid Imran has completed his PhD degree from Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences Islamabad, Pakistan in the subject Physics (Materials Science and Engineering) in 2014. During his PhD, he had visited Department of Science and Technology, Campus Norrköping, Linköping University and Gunadarma University, SE-60174 Norrköping, Sweden for a period of one year and work under the supervision of Prof. Magnus Willander.
He joined CUI as Assistant Professor in 2014. He completed his M.Sc. and M.Phil. degrees in Physics from University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan. He specializes in synthesizing nanomaterials and exploring their electrical properties in micro and nano devices. His research focuses on sensing, electron transport in nanostructures, photoconduction, and photocatalysis, aiming to advance optoelectronics, energy conversion, and environmental solutions through innovative nanotechnology applications.
