Biography:

Dr. Rab Nawaz completed his Ph. D in Mathematics from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, in the field of Diffraction Theory. He is serving Mathematics Department, COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan as Tenured Associate Professor. Before that he has served Bahria University Islamabad and HITEC University Taxila in teaching. During his Ph. D studies, Dr. Nawaz visited Brunel University London under International Research Support Initiative Program of HEC. During his M. Sc and M. Phil, he was awarded a merit scholarship under the Talent Forming Scheme of HEC and University merit scholarship, respectively. He has devoted research effort to the broad area of Applied Mathematics, and specifically to the theoretical understanding of wave processes. He has published extensively in the areas of Acoustic and Electromagnetic waves, Fluid/Structural Interaction and Inverse Problems in Wave Propagation and supervised a number of MS and PhD thesis. Dr Nawaz is also HEC approved supervisor. He presented his research work at various international forums including ICM in Brazil, JMM in USA and ICIAM in China.
