Biography:

Asst Prof. Usman M. Shaikh holds a Masters of Business Administration degree with Distinction in Finance and Accounting from the University of Liverpool England and a Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management from the University of Western Sydney Australia. He spent eight years in corporate America where he worked for a multinational educational services corporation in the capacity of a Senior Student and Finance Advisor. He has been associated with COMSATS department of Management Sciences since May of 2012. Mr. Shaikh also served as a Project Coordinator for the USAID funded project for building capacity of Not-for-Profit organizations throughout Pakistan. The project lasted for 3.5 years and was successfully completed in 2015. As a result COMSATS trained over 200 senior management professionals from over 100 development sector organizations across Pakistan. His past and current areas of research include, power and politics in organizations, Forecasting firm’s financial performance, Investigating Fraud in financial statements of U.S. based IPO’s and in depth study of the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002. Aside from this Mr. Shaikh holds considerable practical and research experience in the areas of organizational development and change management.
