Azhar Yasin did his graduation in 1996 from NED University (Karachi, Pakistan) and received a degree of Bachelors in Electronic Engineering. After graduation he was inducted as a Control System Engineer at SHECS, Pakistan, Where he was involved in the designing, testing and installation of various electronic control systems for a range of projects. In 2004 he received a degree of Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Telecommunications from Blekinge Institute of Technology, (Sweden). After completing master’s degree he joined Hamdard University as a lecturer. In 2005 he joined COMSATS as lecturer and later promoted to the position of Assistant Professor. He supervised final year projects at undergraduate level, associated with the field of telecommunication. Besides his academic responsibilities he was also assigned the task of Senior Incharge Electrical Engineering labs and Senior Incharge Academics (Undergraduate Programs).In 2018 he obtained his PhD in electrical engineering from COMSATS University, Islamabad, Pakistan. He is also registered with Pakistan Engineering Council as Professional Engineer.

His research interests include RF Sensors for Material Characterization, Applied Electromagnetics, microwave passive Circuits. He is also a reviewer of prestigious international Journals.
