Biography:

Dr. Irfan Ullah is a distinguished academic and researcher specializing in Biomedical Imaging, Embedded Systems, and Parallel Computing. Currently an Assistant Professor at COMSATS University Islamabad, Dr. Ullah's extensive teaching and research career includes a postdoctoral tenure at the University of Iowa and significant contributions to medical imaging, particularly in MRI reconstruction algorithms. With a Ph.D. in Biomedical Imaging and a rich portfolio of patents and publications, he has pioneered advancements in GPU-accelerated MRI techniques. His academic journey, enriched by an M.S. in Digital and Computer Electronics from Tampere University of Technology, also highlights his dedication to nurturing future engineers through innovative teaching methods and hands-on project supervision. Dr. Ullah has successfully secured multiple research grants. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the IEEE, ISMRM, ESMRMB, and the Pakistan Engineering Council, reflecting his ongoing commitment to advancing his field and collaborating with the broader scientific community.
