Biography:
Dr. Nasir Masood is working as 'Tenured Associate professor' in the Department of Bioscience, COMSATS University Islamabad,Islamabad-Campus Pakistan.Food Security, Water Management and Sustainability,
Sustainable Energy, Urban Planning, Innovative Governance and Reforms, Plant protection, Public Health Entomology, Modern Concepts of
Crop Production, Strategies of Parasite Infection, Survival and Transmission Molecular entomology, Insect neurobiology,
Insect behaviour and physiology, Signalling transduction, IPM , biological
control, Insect pest resistance and biosciences, Currently working on
Agriculture , Environmental issues related to pests, pesticides, crops ,
underground water, Climate change, pesticidal pollution ,global food security,
Climate change ,crop adaptation, heavy metals impacts on human health, flora and fauna at CUI ,Islamabad.
He got his PhD from University of Agriculture Faisalabad with international fellowship at University of California,Davis USA. He did his postdoctoral fellowship from the Memorial University Canada. He did research work on Biochemical analysis of lettuce and spinach plants resistance against leaf miner and aphids.. He has published >50 research articles in SCI journals. He is a memeber of Entomologist and ESA team which are developing new techniques on IPM. He did complete three projects on Sugarcane whitefly IPM as PI. Currently, he is supervising 5 MS students and 1 PhD student. Thus far, he has taught 41 different undergraduate and graduate courses with average teaching score of > 95%.
