Biography:
Dr. Inam is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department at COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Pakistan. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering, which he earned from Lancaster University, UK, in 2022. Prior to that, he completed his MS in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) and B.Sc in Electrical Engineering (Electronics) from CUI and FUUAST Islamabad in 2009 and 2013, respectively.
Dr. Inam's professional journey began soon after his graduation, when he joined DESCON Engineering Pvt. Ltd at the Fauji Cement Project (7200 TPD) as a Project Engineer (Electrical and Instrumentation). In this role, he oversaw the installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities of various electrical equipment, including transformers, electrical machines, measuring instruments, and bus bars.
With a passion for teaching and research, Dr. Inam embarked on an academic career in 2012. He started as a Research Associate in the Center for Advanced Studies in Telecommunication (CAST) at COMSATS Islamabad, where he conducted teaching and research activities in the field of networks and smart grids. In July 2013, he joined the ECE department at CUI's Lahore campus as a Lecturer. Dr. Inam teaches a range of courses, including Computer Programming, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Circuit Analysis, Power Distribution and Utilization, and Industrial Instrumentation, at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Dr. Inam has supervised several impactful final year projects, some of which include Big Data Analytics, Modeling and Simulation of Smart Grid, the development of a Smart Grid Demand Side Management model with appliance scheduling, Transformer Protection using Tap Changing, and a Smart Grid Demand Side Management energy minimization model with Renewable Energy Integration. His research interests lie in the domain of modernized grids, distributed generation, and super grids. Dr. Inam is particularly focused on exploring topics such as appliance scheduling in smart grids, as well as the integration of vehicles and renewable energy sources into smart grids.
Dr. Inam Ullah is an accomplished academician and researcher, dedicated to advancing the field of electrical and computer engineering. Through his teaching, research, and practical experience, he continues to contribute significantly to the development of modernized grids and the efficient integration of renewable energy sources.
