Dr. Kashif Tufail completed Ph.D. in Physics at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2014
and master's degree in applied physics from the University of Engineering and Technology,
Lahore, Pakistan, in 2008. At present, he is working as Associate Professor at Physics
Department, COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Lahore Campus since May 2022. He has
served as Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at Physics Department, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia from 2015 to
His major research interests include nanomaterial, Photovoltaic Solar Cell, Plasma
(Laser Plasma, Arc Discharge Plasma), Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy, Thin Films
and Nanoparticles. He has completed a number of local and international projects e.g.
Newton-Ungku Omar Fund – Institutional linkages. He has supervised several postgraduate research students who have worked on
collaborative international projects with different UK universities. Since 2015, he has published
more than seventy index articles and five international original book chapters. He has
organized a couple international Conferences.
