Biography:

Professor. Dr. Faiz Bilquees completed her Ph. D. in Monetary Economics at the University of Manchester, U.K. in 1986. She also holds Master’s degrees in Economics from the University of Waterloo, Canada and the University of Punjab. Dr. Bilquees served at the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) from 1974 to 2006 She is a prolific researcher and has published 7 analytical reports on the social and economic issues based on her own field work in different regions of Pakistan. Another 3 such publications are based on secondary data, mainly relating to environmental issues. She has to her credit 25 publications in international and national, HEC approved journals; presentations in 10 local and 7 international seminars and workshops, and has lectured extensively in capacity building workshops. Her teaching experience includes national and international exposure at both undergraduate and graduate level. From December 2011 to December 2012 she served as Advisor at the Department of Management sciences, teaching courses and supervising research. She joined the Center for Policy Studies in January 2013.
