Biography:

Dr. Arslan Ahmed is a Mechanical engineer with a Ph.D. in Energy (Tribology) from the University of Malaya, Malaysia (QS World Rank 65). He also holds an MS in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from National University of Science and Technology, Pakistan. Currently, Dr. Arslan is an Tenured Associate Professor at COMSATS University Islamabad, WAH Campus.
During last few years, he taught at BS, MS and PhD levels. His research interests are
primarily in Tribology of automotive and manufacturing systems, Renewable Energy and Advanced Materials and additive manufacturing.
Throughout his academic journey, Dr. Arslan has published 55 ISI indexed impact factor journal articles and 5 Book chapters. Some of them are published in prestigious journals such as Energy Conversion and Management, Energy, Surface and Coatings Technology and Applied Surface Science. His publications impact factor is more than 250 and the H-index is 26. He has supervised 15 MS theses and several Final year design projects. He has secured funding for local and international collaborative grants. He served research community as a reviewer for International Journals and as a Guest Editor for two international Journals. He is an active
participant in seminars and trainings. He is a member of professional organization, including the Pakistan Engineering Council.
