Biography:

Dr. Abid Mehmood Yousaf is an Assistant Professor at Department of Pharmacy. He has obtained his Pharm-D from University of the Punjab under pioneer batch of Pharm-D (session 2003-2008). In 2011, he won the HEC scholarship award for MS-PhD studies abroad, and earned his PhD in Pharmaceutics from Hanyang University of South Korea in 2015. He has performed his research in the Lab of Physical & Industrial Pharmacy under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Han-Gon Choi, a distinguished professor of Pharmacy in South Korea. His research encompasses optimization, formation and in vivo & invitro characterization of various drug delivery systems such as solid dispersions, microcapsules, microspheres, nanoparticulated systems, inclusion compounds, SNEDDS & SMEDDS, hydrocolloid wound dressings, creams, microemulsions, gels, microsponges, mucoadhesive tablets, sustained release systems and other polymeric composite systems. Dr. Abid Mehmood Yousaf has numerous publications in various peer-reviewed SCI journals of pharmacy. He owns a Korean patent as well. He has presented his research work at several international conferences abroad. He is an HEC approved PhD supervisor. He vows to continue research in the same field and train young pharmacist researchers of Pakistan.
