Biography:

Mirza Tariq Hamayun was born in Pakistan.  He graduated from Eastern Mediterranean University TRNC Turkey with a B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. (Hons) in Electrical Engineering in 1999 and 2001, sponsored by EMU TRNC Turkey. In 2001 he joined the Daimler Chrysler AG Research center Frankfurt Germany, where he was involved in automation and measurement setup of high speed power motors. In 2004 he was employed by COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Lahore (Currently named as CUI Lahore Campus after University Charter in April 2018) as a Lecturer and promoted to Associate Professor in 2021. He was awarded a Ph.D. from the University of Leicester UK in 2013, funded by a FDP scheme of Higher Education Commission. He is an author of over 35 refereed papers including two monograph in the area of integral sliding mode FTC. He is Corresponding member of IFAC Technical Committee “Nonlinear Control Systems”. His research interests include sliding mode control and observation and their applications to actuators and sensor’s fault diagnosis and control.
