Biography:

Dr. Muhammad Shahid Nazir completed his M.Sc. from University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore in 2003. In 2006, he attained master's degree in chemistry from Government College University, Lahore. He holds a PhD. in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia (UTP, Malaysia) in the area of Green Chemistry titled "Eco-friendly Extraction, Characterization and Modification of Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCCs) from Oil Palm Empty Fruit Branches. He joined COMSATS in December 2013, throughout his tenure he has served as Assistant Professor in Department of Chemical Engineering till August 2017.  He then joined Department of Chemistry in September 2017 as Assistant Professor and is now working as Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus. He has more than 11 years of experience at national & international levels.

Research Interests:
Applied Chemistry, Functional Material Synthesis & Design & Characterization, Environmental and Biomedical Applications.
