Biography:

Dr. Zahid Ahamad belongs to Bhalakhar a village of tehsil Kallar Saydan of district Rawalpindi. He received basic education from Bhalakhar and Matriculation from govt. high school Kallar Saydan. He completed his F.Sc. in 1995 and B.Sc. in 1997, from Gordon College Rawalpindi. After this, he went to Quaid-i-Azam University and received an M.Sc. degree in 2000 in applied mathematics. In 2002-2004, he worked as a lecturer in govt. degree collage Murree. In 2004, he went to university of the Punjab, Lahore for Ph.D., and Completed his Ph.D. in 2009 in General Relativity under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sharif. In 2009, he joined COMSATS University, Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus as lecturer. Here, he worked as an Assistant professor from 2009-2016 , as an associate professor from 2016-2021 and as Tenured Professor from March 2021 to July 2023. He also worked as head of the department of Mathematics in Abbottabad Campus. Currently , He is working as tenured professor in department of mathematics in COMSATS University Islamabad Campus His field of research is space time singularities and gravitational collapse. He has supervised 21 MS students as supervisor and one Ph.D. student as a co-supervisor.
