Biography:

Dr. Aneela Maalik is an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry, COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan. She has published her research work in International peer reviewed journals like ACS Omega, Tetrahedron, Advanced Synthesis & Catalysis, European Journal of Pharmacology, Synthesis, Natural product research, Journal of food and drug analysis, medicinal chemistry etc. She has completed her PhD in the field of Organic synthesis and Homogeneous Catalysis (Palladium catalyzed C-C cross coupling reactions) from the Department of Chemistry, University of Rostock, Germany in 2012 while her M.Sc & M.Phil is from Department of Chemistry, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. She won different scholarships and awards e.g. HERMES, LIKAT fellowship, Research Productivity Award_COMSATS etc. She has national approved funding projects like HEC-NRPU, CRGP-Research grant etc. She is performing both teaching and research assignments presently to the graduate and undergraduate students. She has supervised many graduate students. She is working in multidisciplinary research area which includes organic synthesis, catalysis, drug delivery through nanoparticles, therapeutic/medicinal and photophysical studies of synthesized bioactive compounds. She is a member of Pakistan Chemical Society and National Academy of Young Scientists (NAYS) Pakistan as well as HEC approved supervisor.
