Biography:

M. A. Baqir received the M.Sc. and M.Phil. degrees in Electronics from the Department of Electronics, Quaid-i-Azam University, Pakistan, in 2008 and 2011, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Microengineering and Nanoelectronics, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (The National Universiti of Malaysia), Malaysia, in 2017. Since 2017, he has been working as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan. His current research interests include light-matter interactions, photonic crystals, 2D materials, periodic structures, core-shell nanoparticles, and absorbers. He has earned more than 80 publications in reputed peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings, and a book chapter. He serves as a Reviewer for several journals that include the IEEE ANTENNAS AND WIRELESS PROPAGATION LETTERS, Nature Scientific Reports, Optics Express, The Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications, the IEEE PHOTONICS JOURNAL, the IEEE SENSORS JOURNAL, IET Micro and Nano Letters, and IET Power Electronics. He is guest Editor in Materials Research Express.
