Biography:

Dr. Minhas Akbar completed his Ph.D. (finance) from Zhongnan University of economics and law, Wuhan, P.R. China with particular interests in corporate finance, Islamic finance, behavioral finance and environmental economics. Currently, he is Assistant professor at COMSATS University Islamabad, Sahiwal campus, Pakistan. Prior to that, he worked for more than two years as visiting lecturer at University of Education, Okara campus, Pakistan. He holds a master’s degree of MBA (Banking & Finance) from one of the prestigious institute of Pakistan; Hailey College of banking & finance, and a Bachelors in commerce from Hailey College of commerce. During his stay at Zhongnan University, he wrote several research papers in the area of corporate finance and macroeconomics that are published in international journals. Moreover, he has also successfully concluded a research project funded by international education school of Zhongnan University. His research has several implications for the policy makers and managers to enhance the performance of their firms. The topic of his Ph.D. research is “Role of corporate life cycle in firm risk-taking and market sentiments: The case of Pakistan.” He spends his free time in reading news.
