Biography:

Guftaar Ahmad is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) Islamabad. He received his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from Jacobs University Bremen, Germany in August 2012, MSc in Electrical Engineering from Jacobs University Bremen, Germany in August 2009, and BSc degree in Computer Engineering from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Islamabad, Pakistan in July 2006. His research interests include Cooperative Communication, Cognitive Radio Networks, Multiuser OFDM systems, Physical Layer Security, Energy Harvesting, Resource Allocation in IoT, Economic Dispatch in Power Systems and Demand Side Management in Smart Grid. 

Currently, I am working in the area of 5G Communication. A number of MS and PhD positions are available in my research group to work on the cutting edge research in Next Generation Communication Systems. The HEC indigenous Scholars are highly encouraged to join a team of wonderful researchers.
