Biography:
Mr. Muhammad Mustafa started his career at Computer Training Center (CTC), Centre of Basic Sciences, Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), Islamabad as Computer Trainee Officer in 1989. After successful completion of one year PGTP (Post Graduate Training Program in Systems Software and Hardware), he joined the center as a Scientific Officer and later on promoted as Sr. Scientific officer in 1994. At CTC, his major assignments included: teaching, project supervision, and R & D in the area of embedded and real-time control systems, generally of classified nature. During his stay at CTC, he participated in various professional trainings, workshops, and conferences on computing. Also, organized and conducted various software/hardware oriented short-term courses + workshops at different Pakistani universities in collaboration with Higher Education Commission (previously known as UGC), Islamabad for faculty development.
In 1999, Mr. Khattak joined Barani Institute of Information Technology, University of Arid Agriculture, Rawalpindi as Assistant Professor/Head Students Affairs. At BIIT, apart from teaching and final year students project supervision, he had to carry out various administrative responsibilities including Students Counseling, Handling day-to-day student problems, manage Curricular/Extra-Curricular activities. Also worked as a member of: Curriculum Review Committee, Migration Committee, Comprehensive Exam Committee, Discipline Committee, Project Allocation & Evaluation Committee.
Mr. Khattak has been working as Assistant Professor, Deptt. of CS, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad since 2006. He has been involved in teaching various courses of diversified nature and served as Incharge Project Committee for three years. In order to make the FYP a smooth and fruitful activity, he compiled the undergraduate Final Year Project handbook.
He has been working as adjunct professor and external examiner for London Metropolitan University, UK (formerly London Guildhall University) and five public sector Pakistani universities. Also, work as a judge for a number of project & speed programming competitions.
