Biography:

Dr. Noman Khan has completed Ph.D. degree in Management Sciences major in Finance from Qurtuba University of Science and Information Technology, Peshawar Campus in 2016. He did MBA (1.5 years (Equivalent to MS)) major in Finance and BBA-IT (Hon's) from Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences), Peshawar in 2011 and 2008 respectively. He has served as an Assistant Professor in Department of Business Administration at IQRA National University, Peshawar from April 2016 to September 2016. Afterwards, he is serving as a Tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Management Sciences at COMSATS UNIVERSITY ISLAMABAD, ATTOCK CAMPUS since September 2016 to date. During his tenure, he has contributed to the University and research communities in four important areas: (1) Creation of a research environment through active research on individual and team level, contributing with his data analysis skills, and publishing multiple research papers in a variety of disciplines including Finance—Financial Management, Capital Market, & Corporate Governance— and Economics—Environmental Economics, Health Economics, & Public Health—. Dr. Khan has published fifteen (15) research publications verified by Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) CUI. During the same period, he served as a reviewer for journals including the Journal of Business and Economics, the Journal of Managerial Sciences, the University of Wah Journal of Managerial Sciences, and others. (2) He has adeptly taught various courses like Portfolio Selection Management, Advanced Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Financial Reporting, Advanced Techniques in Data Analysis, Quantitative Techniques, Financial Institutions, Commercial Banking, Cost Accounting, Cost & Management Accounting, Introduction to Statistics, Seminar in Project Management, Advanced Project Management, and Project Management at the undergraduate and graduate levels. (3) He has supervised Master of Science (MS) Research Scholars (20 in all) at CUI Attock Campus. In addition, he has also served as a co-supervisor of a Ph.D. research scholar at IQRA National University, Peshawar (prior to joining CUI Attock Campus). All of the students successfully finished and defended their research projects, with a number of them publishing research articles based on their theses in prestigious national and international journals. Dr. Khan is a persistent source of encouragement for them, encouraging them to attend various research-focused conferences that were held from time to time. (4) He has been evaluating students, mentoring teachers and students, organizing various events, and performing administrative duties such as Departmental Operating Officer (DOO), Focal Person of Center of Islamic Finance (Branch Office Attock Campus), Focal Person of NBEAC Main Committee, Convener of Uniform Monitoring System, Convener of Cafeteria Committee, Member of Graduate Studies Committee, and so on.
