Biography:
I have been working as Lecturer of Psychology since January,18,2010 ( 13 years 5 month). Having taught multiple courses of BS Psychology, I am one of pioneer faculty members of BS Psychology in COMSATS University Islamabad. With a deep passion for psychology and a commitment to education, I have dedicated my academic journey to understanding and supporting the well-being of children and adolescents. Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D. in Psychology, focusing specifically on clinical psychology in the context of children and adolescents. My research interests revolve around comprehending the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral development of young individuals. I am particularly fascinated by the factors that contribute to mental health challenges during this crucial stage of life and the role of intervention strategies in promoting resilience and psychological well-being. Through my ongoing studies, I strive to contribute to the field's knowledge base and further enhance my understanding of effective therapeutic approaches for young minds. In addition to my specialization in clinical psychology, I am also a qualified Speech and Language Therapy Practitioner. This expertise allows me to address the communication and language-related challenges that children and adolescents may encounter, providing them with necessary support to overcome these obstacles. Over the years, I have acquired competencies in various psychotherapies, enabling me to adopt a comprehensive and integrated approach to psychological intervention. My experience encompasses cognitive-behavioral therapy trauma in school, child-centered play therapy, Child-Parent relationship therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques, among others. This diverse skill set allows me to tailor my therapeutic interventions to the unique needs of everyone, ensuring holistic support and fostering positive outcomes. As an educator, my mission is to instill a love for learning and empower my students with the knowledge and skills required to excel in the field of psychology. I believe in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment that encourages critical thinking, open dialogue, and collaboration. By incorporating real-world examples, practical exercises, and case studies, I strive to bridge the gap between theory and practice, equipping students with a solid foundation for their future endeavors.
