Dr. Aqeela Asif
Dr. Aqeela Asif is an educationist, social scientist, researcher, analyst, writer, poet, columnist, media planner, trainer, and diplomatic relations professional. She holds Masters Degree in History and MPhil & PhD in International Relations. Dr. Aqeela has represented Pakistan on international forums by presenting papers and country reports. Her areas of expertise include; Conflict Resolution, Theories of IR, Models and Coinage of tools for Middle Eastern region, Pakistan’s Foreign Policy Formulation & Analysis, Interactive Conflict Resolution, International Humanitarian Law and Peace building Models. She is certified Negotiator and Mediator and trained in problem solving techniques in troubled areas. Along with teaching and research responsibilities, her research interest includes media studies, Pakistan’s current affairs, international relations (Middle East & North Africa), social policy, and study of life history, philosophy and teachings of celebrities of ancient and present Islamic world.she is freelancing writer and columnist for print (Urdu & English) and electronic media and participated in different TV Talk Shows as an educationist and IR analyst. Her columns and articles are regularly appearing in international and national level newspapers on different social, economic, moral and educational topics.She has been awarded Four Gold Medals for admiration of her services by reputed organizations including Nazarya-e-Pakistan Council Islamabad in March, 2013, Adara Frog-i-Taleem, Ministry of Education Punjab in 2014, Qalam Foundation international, in 2022 and from ROSE News and Current Affairs in 2023. Dr. Aqeela Asif is associated with COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) as Assistant Professor since 2004. She is an author of the book “Ink Spark” published in 2021. Moreover, her research articles regularly published in different HEC approved research journals. Currently she is performing duties of teaching & research at BS and MS level programs.She is serving CUI as Incharge MS (IR) and BS (IR) in department of Humanities. She is also the member of MS (IR) admission committee, research committee and many other academic and administrative committees in Islamabad campus. She is serving CUI as Chief Proctor and Incharge CUI Day Care Center as well. She is HEC Approved supervisor for MS, M.Phil, and PhD.
