Biography:

I am assistant professor at the department of Environmental Sciences, COMSATS University Islamabad, Vehari Campus with research interest water treatment using advanced oxidation technologies, homogenous and heterogenous photocatalysis, nanotechnology, zerovalent metal technology, phytoremediation, and adsorption technology. I have published 87 publications in high impacted journals, such as Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, Chemical Engineering Journal, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Journal of Cleaner Production, Journal of Physical Chemistry (ACS), Science of the Total Environment, Journal of Water Process Engineering, Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology etc. with cumulative IF of 693 and google scholar citations of 4514. Below is a list of some of my selected papers.                                1.   Synthesis of Eosin modified TiO2 film with co-exposed {001} and {101} facets for photocatalytic degradation of para-aminobenzoic acid and solar H2 production (Accepted) in Applied Catalysis B: Environmental (2020) 265, 118557 (Impact factor 24.31).
2.   Synthesis of Nitrogen-doped Ceria Nanoparticles in Deep Eutectic Solvent for the Degradation of Sulfamethaxazole under Solar Irradiation and Additional Antibacterial Activities (Accepted) in Chemical Engineering Journal (2020) 394, 124869 (Impact factor 16.75)
3.    Nano-zerovalent manganese/biochar composite for the adsorptive and oxidative removal of Congo-red dye rom aqueous solutions (Accepted) in Journal of Hazardous Materials (2021) 403, 123854 (Impact factor 14.22)
4.    Synergistic effects of activated carbon and nano-zerovalent copper on the performance of hydroxyapatite-alginate beads for the removal of As3+ from aqueous solution (Accepted) in Journal of Cleaner Production (2019) 235, 875−886 (Impact factor 11.07).                                            5.    Synergistic effects of bismuth coupling on the reactivity and reusability of zerovalent iron nanoparticles for the removal of cadmium from aqueous solution (Accepted) in Science of the Total Environment (2019) 669, 333−341 (Impact factor 10.75).
