Biography:

Dr. Jawad Mirza (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in electrical (telecommunications) engineering from the COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2007, the M.Sc. degree in communications engineering from the University of Manchester, Manchester, U.K., in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from the Victoria University of Wellington, Wellington, New Zealand, in 2016. He was a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the Wolfson School Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering, Loughborough University, Loughborough, U.K. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, COMSATS University Islamabad, Islamabad, Pakistan. His current research interests include intelligent reflecting surfaces aided multiple antenna communication systems, full-duplex transmission, and 6G wireless communication systems.
