Biography:

Dr. Imran Khan is currently serving COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) as an Assistant Professor (Marketing). He received his PhD (MS) from Bahria University Islamabad in 2022. He has done MSc International Business from Salford Business School, University of Salford, Greater Manchester UK in 2008. He also holds MBA degree with major in Marketing from Institute of Management Studies, University of Peshawar in 2003. His research interests are to examine the role of different strategic Orientations (Market,Brand and Social Entrepreneurial Orientations) in the public, private and Non-Profit organizational performance and how these orientations can be useful if studied with other orientations under managerialization, complementary, sequential or alternative approaches. Mr.Khan also has a good five years corporate experience at National as well as Multi-National Organizations. He worked in Laterooms.com (www.laterooms.com) which is one of the world’s leading online hotel reservation organizations. He also worked at National Fertilizer Corporation (NFC) as a Marketing Officer. He joined COMSATS University, Islamabad in 2011 as a Lecturer. He not only proved himself as a good instructor and researcher but also as a good administrator. Mr. Khan participated in different departmental and university level activities like SAICON Conference, Bi-annual convocations, Semester Orientations programme and Faculty Development Training programmes. He was also member of Departmental Exam Monitoring Committee, Departmental Marketing Committee, Campus level Ehsaas Scholarship evaluation Committee, Internship Committee and NBEAC Accreditation Committee. Since May 2022 he assumed position of Incharge Undergraduate Programs Department Management Sciences and responsible for BS (BA), BS (BAF), BS (BDA) and BS (BAT) programs and students routine academic and administrative affairs. He is making all kind of efforts to assist Head of Department to achieve "W" category accreditation as per Higher Education Commission (HEC) policies.
