Biography:

Asma Jabeen holds bachelor’s degree from the University of Punjab. She received her M.S. from Quaid-I-Azam University Islamabad in Economics. She completed her PhD, Economics from Pakistan Institute of Development Economics. Prior to serving to the full time faculty in COMSATS, she served as visiting faculty at the University of Arid Agriculture and the Islamic International University. Her areas of research include Welfare and Poverty, Macroeconomic Aspects of International Trade, Health and Monetary Policy. Among the courses she teaches are General Equilibrium and Welfare, Engineering Economics, Intermediate Microeconomics, Principles of Microeconomics, Advance Mathematical Economics and Macro Economic Models of Developing Countries. At present, she has also assumed various responsibilities at CIIT including membership of Departmental Examination Committee, membership of Departmental Disaster management committee and class councilor to BS-ECO (Hons).
