Biography:

Dr. Nabila Khurshid is a Tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at COMSATS University Islamabad. She holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics with a specialization in Development Economics. A distinguished academic, Dr. Khurshid received gold medals for both her Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics & Rural Sociology from the University of Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir, and her Master’s degree in Rural Development from NWFP Agricultural University, Peshawar.  Her teaching and research interests encompass a broad range of areas including Applied Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Energy Economics, Environmental Economics, Development Economics, International Economics, Rural Development and Tourism, and Agricultural Economics. Dr. Khurshid has an extensive record of publications in internationally recognized, peer-reviewed journals and serves as a reviewer for the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan and the National Testing Service (NTS) Subject Committee in Economics.She has also contributed to funded research as a Co-Principal Investigator on a National Research Programme for Universities (NRPU) project, successfully completed in 2020. Over the past seven years, Dr. Khurshid has supervised numerous undergraduate and graduate research theses across diverse topics in Economics. She is also an HEC-approved PhD supervisor.
